The 3rd annual Michigan Tech Greek Awards were held on Tuesday, April 21st, 2009 in the MUB Ballroom.
Delta Phi Epsilon was recognized as a Chapter of Excellence for all of the chapter's accomplishments during the 2008 calendar year. The chapter went through a rigorous selection process in order to receive the award, which included writing essays and appearing before a panel of judges. To be a Chapter of Excellence means to achieve excellence in all 5 of the values integration areas:
Intellectual Development
Leadership Development
Service and Citizenship
Fraternal Friendships
Ritual and Values
Delta Phi Epsilon was one of only 5 Greek organizations on campus to receive this award.
Delta Phi Epsilon was also recognized for:
- having 2 Order of Omega initiates (LeAnn Koski & Kelsey Kusibab)
- receiving 1 UIFI scholarship (Dani Revord)
- having 1 Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society initiate (Kelsey Kusibab)
- having a woman recognized as a 2009 Departmental Woman of Promise (LeAnn Koski)
In addition, one of D-Phi-E's new members from Spring 2008, Dani Revord, was recognized as the Outstanding Sorority New Member of the Year. Congratulations, Dani, on receiving this prestigious award! |
