6 Members Attend Leadership Conferences

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

Six members of Delta Phi Epsilon attended leadership conferences during the weekend of March 20-22, 2009.

Four members (Dani Revord, Alyssa Wood, Courtney David & Nicole Talbot) attended IMPACT in Alberta, MI. IMPACT was brought in by Greek Life and Student Activities of Michigan Tech. The conference addressed problems within the Greek community and ways to solve those problems.

The cost of IMPACT was covered mainly by the university, but there was a participation fee of $50 that was to be covered by each person attending. Delta Phi Epsilon stepped up to the plate to cover all four of the fees for each sister to attend.

Delta Phi Epsilon also sent two members (Jessica Reibel & Kelsey Kusibab) to the District Leadership Conference (DLC) in Orlando, FL that weekend. The conference was attended by several other Delta Phi Epsilon chapters and the Epsilon Lambda chapter was not only able to interact with these chapters, but also with International staff and volunteers.

Many ideas that were brought back from the conference will be implemented within the chapter. All costs associated with DLC were covered by the chapter.
